GUNS .... another topic

Today is Tuesday August 18,2009

Friends .....
I mentioned in my first post that the content would include gun discussions ... so here is the first entry in what I hope will be many entries on ... well ... guns and gun stuff.....

First guns are not bad things .... guns do not kill .... PEOPLE WITH GUNS KILL ..... For the most part a gun is an inanimate object and doesnt care between targets ... people or paper the gun does as told ..... People choose the target ... guns do as told!!!!!

Assault weapon.... (definition) any thing you are assaulted with from a spit ball ( yea i am old enough to remember them and the perfect launcher was the old BIC pen barrell.... ahhhh the memories of my youth) , to hammers , screwdrivers, steak knives, and lets not forget the middle eastern favorite ... the transcontinental airliner!

Ok I have to admit that the above statement may have a bit of personal opinion in it but also a lot of truth. History explains that the TRUE "assault weapon" was a name given to small, fully automatic machine guns of small calibre to inflict maximum injury with out necessarily killing. Who came up with this you may ask ??? It turns out that this was a "term" invention created by the upper mucks of the NAZI'S to sell these small weapons to Hitler... they figured out early on that us crazy Americans did not abandon our troops injured on the battle field.. and that if they only injured an American GI, they then took 7 other Americans out of the battle.. the injured soldier (1) litter barers (1+2), ambulance crew (1+2+2) and finally a Dr and a Nurse (1+2+2+2=7) and that was immediately... soooooo assault weapon is fully auto and by design a maimer not a killer... Oh and full auto is real tough to get (not impossible ) and even tougher to feed ... full auto uses alot of wasted bullets as many do miss the target , especially in untrained and unpracticed hands. But all things considered.... today.... anything you can harm someone with is an ASSAULT WEAPON.

TIP... shoot often and share your sport!!!!!
